 The Burns Municipal Airport is centrally located in South Eastern Oregon. The airport is located approximately 5 miles east of the city of Burns. We have 2 courtesy cars available for no charge, free hot chocolate, apple cider, and coffee, and free internet Wi-Fi. We have a dining area with a microwave and vending machines, restrooms, and furniture for you to come in and relax on. The terminal is always open 24hours a day, 365 days a year.

Our self-serve fuel terminal is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and we accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Phillips 66, Union 76, Av Card, and Multi-Service. We have 100LL and Jet-A (No additive).  A 6 foot and 10 foot ladder are available at the fuel island.  Prist is available for purchase in the terminal during business hours. Single Point Fueling is available for Jet A.  Call ahead to make arrangements.



No landing fees or parking fees.
Tie down fees are waived with fuel purchase.


Gateway to the Steens Mt. National Conservation Area, Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, Alvord Desert, Owyhee Reservoir State Airport, Malheur National Forest.


ATV rentals are available locally.

A multitude of fishing, hunting, camping, rock hounding, birdwatching, sightseeing opportunities throughout the area.


Harney County is almost the same size as the State of Massachusetts with a population of approximately 7000 people has one of the lowest population densities in the United States.

We are centrally located in the heart of Oregon's Outback.


Camping is also available with multiple sites for tents and we have a RV spot with 120v/240v electric, water, and sewer services available, with a camping fee of $10 a night.
